Book Bugs is a fellowship and literacy gathering for parents and their children from birth through age 3. Participants may drop in any time during the Tuesday session.
During the first half hour, children enjoy free play with the many educational toys and manipulatives. A "corralled" area with mats and infant toys is available for children who are not yet walking.
The second half hour is devoted to reading and action songs. Books and songs for each week are centered around an educational theme - counting, colors, transportation, etc. The sessions ends with the "grand march" of all children and parents.
All parents and children are welcome to participate. There is no fee for the program.
