The Junior Chefs cooking classes are for children ages 9 to 13 years
old. Each class is led by Nina, Milan Hy-Vee’s store dietitian.
Junior Chefs will have the opportunity to learn about healthy food
choices and practice skills in the kitchen such as cutting, measuring,
cooking on the stove, baking and more! Each class Junior Chefs will
work in groups to prepare recipes from start to finish. We end class
by enjoying our recipes!This month’s recipe uses our DIETITIAN’S
PICK OF THE MONTH – TWO GOOD YOGURT.
Recipes include: _Grilled Lemon Chicken with Lemon Yogurt Dipping
Sauce, Pasta and Veggies with Lemon-Yogurt Sauce and Frozen Yogurt
Raspberries._
Please note: Junior Chefs will wear gloves during class for food
safety. Please make sure long hair is pulled back prior to class.
Aprons will be provided in class – Junior Chefs may bring their own
clean apron if they prefer.
