Ticket includes round trip train ride of approximately 1 hour duration
and seven miles in length.Guests may board train either at main Museum
site (Nelson Crossing) shown on map, or at the Museum's Wabash Depot
located in downtown Monticello.
In addition to enoying our train ride, guests are encouraged to visit
the exhibit cars located adjacent to the Nelson Crossing depot, and
are welcome to explore the Museum grounds and shop complex nearby.
Want to ride in the cab of the diesel locomotive instead? A limited
number of cab ride upgrade tickets are available for most trips. For
information and cab ride tickets, see the ticket agent when you visit
the Museum.
Children under 2 ride FREE with paying adult or senior.
Tickets may be used on any one train trip on date for which issued.
SATURDAY
Saturday trains leave the main Museum site at Nelson Crossing at 11
a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
Saturday TRAINS LEAVE THE WABASH DEPOT IN DOWNTOWN MONTICELLO AT 11:30
a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4 p.m. NOTE THAT THERE IS NO RETURN
TRIP TO THE WABASH DEPOT FOLLOWING THE 4 P.M. DEPARTURE.
SUNDAY
Sunday trains leave the main Museum site at Nelson Crossing at 12:30
p.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
Sunday TRAINS LEAVE THE WABASH DEPOT IN DOWNTOWN MONTICELLO AT 1 P.m.,
2:30 p.m., and 4 p.m. NOTE THAT THERE IS NO RETURN TRIP TO THE
WABASH DEPOT FOLLOWING THE 4 P.M. DEPARTURE.
