PRESENTATION TO LEARN ABOUT DRUG AND SUBSTANCE USE ISSUES THAT ARE
CURRENTLY AFFECTING OUR COMMUNITY. The Village of New Lenox and its
Safe Communities America Coalition, in partnership with the Drug
Enforcement Administration (DEA) Chicago Field Division, are excited
to bring DEA Special Agent Greg Czaczkowski to speak to the community
about drug and substance use issues that are currently affecting our
community. The presentation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020
from 7:00pm to 8:00pm in the Community Room at the New Lenox Village
Hall. Those that register and attend will have an opportunity to win a
DEA “swag bag.”
SA Czaczkowski has presented to thousands of youth, including students
attending our Lincoln-Way High Schools. He brings a wealth of
information on drug trends (including Vaping), addresses concerns on
the recent legalization of marijuana in Illinois, and identifies the
problems with prescription medicines in today’s world. Parents will
see what’s going on in today’s society, and what their students
are facing in school.
This program is 60-minutes of fact-based information loaded with
powerful images and videos. It’s half-informational and
half-motivational, with powerful and true personal stories that have
proven to engage and enlighten the public. Attendees will also have
the opportunity to receive free literature, and have time to talk
one-on-one with Agent Czaczkowski.
As an added bonus, the DEA will also have a K-9 on hand that will
demonstrate the dog’s drug-sniffing capabilities.
Lastly, HERO (Heroin Epidemic Relief Organization) will also have a
vast display of items from its “Hidden in Plain Sight” trailer.
Parents will be able to see first hand the types of paraphernalia
currently being utilized, including various items that teens are using
to conceal drugs.
This PRESENTATION IS IDEAL FOR PARENTS, school counselors, athletic
coaches, youth pastors or anyone that has a connection to youth. Aside
from registration, additional questions regarding this PRESENTATION
