SAST invites you to participate in a Rig-Yajur Veda Upakarma - Avani Avittam 2020, starts at 7:00 AM on Monday, August 3rd, 2020. Our Guruswamy, Sri Chanda Natarajanji will be leading the ceremonies on Zoom meeting. Sponsorship for the event is $21 per person.

Please complete your Sandhya Vandanam and Samidadhaanam before 7:00 AM on that day.

Avani Avittam, also known as Upakarma or Yagnopaveetha Dharana, is the ceremony of changing the sacred thread (Yagnopaveetha, Jandhyam, Janeyu, or Poonul).

Please visit SAST to collect Yagnopaveetha, Darbha, etc. These items will be vailable this Saturday (6 7pm), Sunday (9 11am, 6 7pm). You can register and make the payment at the Front Office.
