Description Explore Busey Woods at night in search of owls with Illinois Natural History Survey Ornithologist, Tara Beveroth. Start with a presentation on native Illinois owls, then head outside to listen for their calls. After the hike, meet the Anita Purves Nature Center’s resident screech owls and warm up with hot cocoa. Come prepared for wet/cold/slippery conditions. Participants may hike on soft, uneven surfaces. Pending weather conditions, this program may be rescheduled. Fees for this hike support the care of the nature center's education animals.
