Description Enjoy the start of summer with an evening paddle led by
interpretive naturalists at Whalon Lake. As the sun goes down, we will
experience nature’s transition from day to night. Then relax on land
with a cozy fire and roast s’mores. All equipment, including
personal flotation devices, is provided. The instructors are American
Canoe Association certified. Be sure to wear clothes and shoes that
can get wet, and consider bringing sunscreen, sunglasses and a water
bottle.
Previous kayaking experience is required, as this is a recreational
program and not an instructional paddling program. The natural surface
launch area is accessible by a paved trail from the parking lot.
Ages 12 and older. (Children must be accompanied by a registered
adult).
