Overview:
This course provides an opportunity for emergency management and response personnel to begin developing an Incident Command System (ICS)/Emergency Operations Center (EOC) interface for their communities. The course reviews ICS and EOC characteristics, responsibilities and functions and depends heavily on activities and group discussions to formulate an interface. This course works best when delivered to Incident Command System and Emergency Operations Center personnel from the same community.
Target Audience:
State and local personnel responsible for developing, staffing, managing and operating an EOC and coordinating EOC operations with a field command post.
Required prerequisites:
Prerequisite: IS-100.c: Introduction to Incident Command System, ICS-100
Prerequisite: IS-200.c: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents
Prerequisite: IS-700.b: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS)
Prerequisite: IS-800.c: National Response Framework, An Introduction
This course is part of the FEMA Advanced Professional Series (APS)
This course is a requirement to the brand new FEMA Intermediate EOC Operations Center class .
