This event is being planned and hosted by a multi-stakeholder coalition of individual citizens and organizations who want their elected officials to take action to protect Northwest Indiana's unique ecosystems and natural beauty. We want to ensure a legacy of clean air and water for all generations who succeed us on this land.

How to accomplish this? The first steps are to acknowledge we are living in a climate emergency that deserves our attention. Next, we want our cities and counties to adopt climate action resolutions that signal their commitment. Some places, such as Michigan City, have created their own Sustainability Commission.
