Clinical Counselor
This module is for students, teachers, wellness professionals, mental
health counselors, and other healers wanting mind-body tools to serve
populations with trauma. It is also for thos living with trauma and
wanting to utilize the tools of yoga therapy for their own healing
journey.
Yoga Therapist partner with other health care providers to use yoga to
help restore wholeness and health. Exposure to traumatic stressors
such as unexpected or violent death, serious harm or threats such as
personal assault, accidents, life threatening illness or injury can
elicit a high level of anxiety and stress.
Learn how Yoga Nidra is an affective tool in helping those in
Trauma.
- Identify common symptoms of TRAUMA
- Explore brain physiology and research on how TRAUMA LODGES IN THE
BODY
- Review how body work like yoga, mindfulness, and eye movement
therapy are helpful
- Identify roles of advocacy, collaboration, and referral processes
with treatment providers
- Learn how to access body imbalances and how the emotions and mental
patterns express themselves on the physical level.
- Understand movement and sound used to release blocked energy
