Spend the evening with David Sedaris, one of America's pre-eminent
humorists and satirical writers. Beloved for his essays and short
stories, Sedaris is the author of Barrel Fever, Holidays on Ice,
Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and
Denim, When You Are Engulfed in Flames, Let's Explore Diabetes with
Owls, Calypso, and Happy Go Lucky. He has also released The Best of Me
(previously published stories and essays) and Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk:
A Modest Bestiary (collection of fables with illustrations by Ian
Falconer). Both volumes of his diaries, Theft By Finding: Diaries and
A Carnival of Snackery: Diaries were New York Times best-selling
books. He has been nominated for 5 Grammy Awards for Best Spoken Word
and Best Comedy Album. David will read from new and unpublished work
for 90 minutes with no intermission. He signs books both pre-show (for
45 minutes) and post-show for anyone who wants their book signed (can
last 2-4 hours). The Embassy Theatre is a historic venue. There are no
elevators to the Loge and Balcony sections. Hearing Assist Devices and
Sensory Friendly Kits are available upon request. All guests,
regardless of age, must have a ticket. The Box Office will always open
at least 2 hours prior to any event. Tickets are available for walk-up
purchases as well unless otherwise stated. Cut the line and buy in
advance for easy entry.
