Potluck & Meeting: Heartland Rooted, a PlantPure Pod

Love Whole Food Plant Based meals? Or are you curious about what this even means? Just trying to add more Fruits, Vegetables and Whole Grains into your diet? Please join us, no matter where you are on the spectrum! We want to build a strong, healthy community, and share our knowledge of what these foods can do for all of us! We start with a POTLUCK, or “Plantluck” as we like to say, from 12-1, and create a time for fellowship with over delicious food. We provide table service. You may bring a WFPB dish (no oil, meat, dairy, eggs please), but don’t hesitate to come without a dish; we have plenty to share. Please bring a copy of your recipe and your own beverage. We then have a MEETING FROM 1-2 during which we share information from the world of PLANTPURE COMMUNITIES, along with our own local news and announcements. We then present a speaker, panel, or other form of educational topic so you can learn more about WFPB Lifestyles, and interact with others who enjoy this way of eating. Our April Speaker is Dr Irving Schwartz, a cardiologist from Quincy IL!  He is living his life and practicing medicine whole-food plant-based style! He is making a difference in his life, his community and in the lives of his patients.
