Learn to make a variety of SWEET AND SAVORY SCONES FROM SCRATCH. If
you have ever dreamed of making fresh-baked scones, but aren’t sure
where to begin, join us for this hands-on introductory class where
Chef Saralyn will teach you everything you need to know to make a
variety of sweet & savory scones from scratch. You will learn the
three main recipes for cream, butter, and savory scones that are the
base recipes for all scones – allowing you to modify and make any
scone recipe you desire.
Saralyn will demonstrate how to make a hazelnut Nutella scone before
you step into the training kitchen and make a variety of (1) orange
cranberry scones (2) spiced apple scones and (3) bacon, cheddar,
scallion scones. You will learn techniques for shaping and topping
scones as well as creative ways to infuse flavors into them.
All scones will be enjoyed during class and recipes will be provided
to take home.
REGISTRATION IS $30 and all proceeds support Convivium's outreach
efforts that provide access and education to children and families
struggling with food access.
