First bi-annual REGIONAL SART MEETING FOR ALL DISCIPLINES IN NORTHEAST IOWA. Please join us for an open session to discuss and ask questions about resources, policy, and procedure. In addition, we will have presenters from around the state speaking about topics pertaining to all disciplines. Below is the agenda. Van Der Maaten, Winneshiek County Attorney suspect exams and Prosecution, registration process, SANE’s role in evidence collection, Law Enforcement role, how documentation is handled in HIM, billing to Law Enforcement, reimbursement to SANE/Facility, suspect exams in prosecution 11:00 am-12:00 pm LUNCH (On Your Own) 12:00 pm-1:00 pm Amanda Misencik, DCI Crime Lab Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Collection, storage, new paperwork, labeling, chain of custody, DFSA, Lab Processing, CODIS 1:00-1:45 pm Ruth Walker, Crime Victims Assistance Division Programs offered by CVAD for Victims of Sexual Violence Introduction of programs that directly benefit victims of crime, including those that assist victims with the financial burden resulting from injuries of crime, that assist local crime victim service programs, and that assist the criminal justice system in holding offenders responsible for the effects of their crimes. 1:45-1:55 pm BREAK 1:55-2:55 pm Sheriff Greg Graver, Jones County Sheriff’s Office Case Review Case review of a unique case involving a minor and fetus.
