Then we ll all kayak, with gear, over to our campsite at the George Latham Trail at the Woodridge public use area. Google Maps shows it is 1 mile across the lake. PLEASE NOTE- if anyone is interested in coming Friday evening, just let me know! I could do 2 nites if someone else camped with! At Woodridge public use area, on the George Latham trail, there are several dispersed camping sites. We will camp at site #7, which is close to water- as in lake water where we park the kayaks. We will set up camp, then we can explore the trail, hang out, kayak, or SUP! The George Latham Trail is about a 4 mile loop. This is a great opportunity to test yourself, if you are wanting to try out backpacking and/or camping. The camping is free. This is very primitive. There are bathrooms, but they will be about 1 mile away. So we are roughing it (as comfortably as possible!) ******no permit or anything needed to kayak on this lake Be sure to watch your email, and the message board for updates! You should: *bring your own KAYAK (or make your own arrangements to borrow) *bring your own life jacket *bring your own camping gear *bring your own meals for Saturday lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast *bring your own beverage/water/adult beverage. That s right, I said adult beverage!
