CYPHACON IS RETURNING FOR OUR 7TH YEAR AT THE LAKE CHARLES CIVIC CENTER!CYPHACON IS LAKE CHARLES PREMIER POP CULTURE EVENT! THIS YEAR WE STRIVE TO BRING YOU THE BEST EVENT IN SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA!  CyPhaCon is an annual three-day media convention now going into it’s seventh successful year, held in Spring at the Lake Charles Civic Center. Those who attend can indulge a number of interests: Science Fiction & Fantasy media of every stripe, Anime, Board, Immersion & Video Gaming, Costuming Role-play (Cosplay), and celebrity meet-up & photo ops.  Additionally, there are costume contests, music groups, charity auctions, and other fun and eventful activities to go along with the general hob-nobbing of genre fandom. CyPhaCon takes place on all 3 floors of the Lake Charles Civic Center. Including the ever impressive 2,000 seat Rosa Hart Theater!  Tickets: There are many different options to attending CyPhaCon. Weekend and Day Passes get you full access to CyPhaCon to enjoy our event. Our Saturday Cosplay Contest is held in the Rosa Hart Theater and open to anyone attending CyPhaCon. Panels and Programming: CyPhaCon has over 70 hours of panels and programming for everyone to enjoy. This can include workshops, demonstrations, concerts, and interactive entertainment.  Shopping: CyPhaCon has the best vendor and artist alley around! What Comic Con/Pop Culture event would be complete without shopping around for your favorite items? You can find one of a kind art, collectibles and so much more! We have you covered at CyPhaCon 2017! Gaming Events: CyPhaCon would not be complete without our immersive gaming floor! Our first floor of the Lake Charles Civic Center is dedicated to just Gaming both Video and Board. Our partners Lake Charles Scion eSports and Southern Technologies bring our attendees the very best in Video Gaming! Concerts and Parties: Our private parties and concerts make CYPHACON AN ALL AROUND POP CULTURE EVENT! Nightly shows on Friday and Saturday evenings end with special performances from our amazing talented bands and performers. Our Fan Appreciation Party on Saturday night gives our attendees a chance to dance and enjoy awesome perks! _FAN APPRECIATION PARTY tickets are sold sperately for this one time event on Saturday April 8th. Must be a ticket holder for CyPhaCon to enter. _ CyPhaKids: a child-friendly (ages 3 thru 12) convention corner geared to please geeky-yet-doting parents and their youngsters.  Formed in CyPhaCon’s third year, CyPhaKids has proven to be a popular and growing aspect of the CyPhaCon experience, with games, artwork, music and other child-friendly activities a-plenty, all within a Science Fiction/Fantasy framework. Charity Auction: A fixture of every CyPhaCon convention experience.  Our auction is based off Science Fiction and Anime geared donations from various businesses and celebrities to benefit local charities (with or without national representation).  To date, the CyPhaCon Charity Auction, along with on-site donations, has collectively raised almost $6000 to benefit local charities, such as: The Lake Charles Children's Museum, Heroes For Holden, The Autism Society, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, The Women & Children's Shelter, and Hobo Hotel. Finally CyPhaCon provides an outlet for hobbyists, artists and just regular folks to schmooze, nurture their competitive skills, and simply pass a good time while participating in all things geek among friends and admirers, not to mention selected celebrities they might meet. Tickets can be transferred upon request by contacting us at cyphacon.reg@gmail.com no later than April 2nd, 2017.  FAQS ARE THERE ID OR MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER THE EVENT? ID is only needed to claim your Pre Registration Tickets. We have no minimum age requirement for our event. However adult supervision is required for anyone under the age of 13.  WHAT ARE MY TRANSPORTATION/PARKING OPTIONS FOR GETTING TO AND FROM THE EVENT? CyPhaCon does not provide transportation services to our event. The Lake Charles Civic Center parking is FREE to all guest attending our event. However there is another event scheduled during our show so we highly suggest arriving early.  WHAT CAN I BRING INTO THE EVENT? Food and Drinks are allowed in the Lake Charles Civic Center. Security will be on site to check any props and or replica weapons at the door. All props/replicas will be peace bonded per the Lake Charles Civic Center and the City of Lake Charles.  HOW CAN I CONTACT THE ORGANIZER WITH ANY QUESTIONS? If you do not have the ability to do so you can show us your confirmation email as well.  WHAT'S THE REFUND POLICY? CyPhaCon does not offer any refunds on tickets/Passes sold for our event. All sales are final. IS MY REGISTRATION FEE OR TICKET TRANSFERRABLE? If you are unable to attend CYPHACON WE CAN TRANSFER YOUR PURCHASE TO ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL. Please contact cyphacon.reg@gmail.com to complete this process. WHY IS THERE A FEE ATTACHED TO EACH TICKET? This is a normal fee that is added to our sales to use this service for our Pre Registration for CyPhaCon.
