The MSO opens its season with Dvořák’s rousing, Bohemian-flavored
_Symphony No. 8 in G Major, Op. 88_ and showpieces of Saint-Saëns,
with the fiery virtuoso violinist Melissa White. The orchestra also
marks the 100th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein’s birth with
Selections from _West Side Story_.
