PYTHIAN MARKET, the recently-opened food collective located in the
historic PYTHIAN TEMPLE IN NEW ORLEANS’ Central Business
District, is celebrating WORLD CUP 2018 with an array of specials,
contests, PARTIES AND MORE.
It’s only fitting that the new multi-vendor dining destination will
serve as a hub to watch the Russia-based soccer competition, as the
market’s muralist and local New Orleanian Brandon ‘Bmike’ Odums
was just tapped by national sports website Bleacher Report to turn the
Lafitte Greenway into a painted mural of French phenomenon Paul Pogba
of Manchester United.
With TVs throughout the space, guests can catch the action from
morning til’ night. From 7AM during morning games, Bar 1908 will
begin serving beer and Frozen White Russians and vendors such as La
Cocinita, Fete au Fete, Squeezed, Roustabout and Central City BBQ will
offer breakfast treats.
Themed cocktails, entertainment and CONTESTS will run the gamut
throughout the month. Each game, guests will have a chance to win
prizes by entering RAFFLES and guessing the winning team. Those
wearing soccer team jerseys will enjoy HAPPY HOUR PRICES
all-game-long, and when each game ends – fans wearing the winning
team jerseys will receive fabulous DRINK SPECIALS.
The soccer competition will culminate with a FINALE BRUNCH PARTY on
SUNDAY, JULY 15TH at 10AM, with giveaways, cocktail specials, prizes
and more.
PYTHIAN MARKET WILL HOST WORLD CUP 2018 FROM JUNE 14 – JULY 15,
2018. During games, Bar 1908 and some of the market’s vendors will
begin serving at 7AM. Located at 234 Loyola Avenue in New Orleans,
