Victoria’s Voice Foundation, a national nonprofit dedicated to
providing drug education and prevention support for families, has
joined forces with the Office of Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sid
Edwards to hold a VITAL SIGNS FORUM FOR LOCAL PARENTS ON MONDAY,
October 5 at ZACHARY High School’s Visual and Performing Arts
Center, located at 4100 School Street in ZACHARY, LA. Doors open at
6:00 pm, and the program starts promptly at 6:30 pm.
A Q&A session with audience members will follow the facilitated
community discussion on the early signs of risk and substance misuse
in youth.
Established by Jackie Siegel and her late husband, David Siegel, after
they lost their daughter, Victoria, 18, to an accidental drug overdose
in 2015, Victoria’s Voice is bringing its popular VITAL SIGNS
program to Zachary families. The initiative equips parents with the
tools and knowledge to identify and address the early signs of
substance use in their children. The introduction to this
video-supported series is an in-person forum convening leaders in the
substance use disorder (SUD) space.
The forum is free and open to the public. Dinner and refreshments will
be provided. Seating is limited and registration is required.
