Introduction To Gold Prospecting - Auburn, ME 2026

Instructor: K. Frost This introductory will teach you real gold prospecting techniques and explain the equipment you will need to get started. We will inform you of places that are accessible to the public where sizable gold has already been found in Maine. Students should wear non-skid closed toed shoes, sneakers, or boots and dress for the weather and bring a notebook. Students may bring their own prospecting equipment if they wish to show or ask questions. Supply Fee of $25 paid to instructor for gold pan and other materials.
