Barbara Snapp has taught and researched in science for over 45 years.
Her research focused on animal behavior, but her passion is teaching
– especially broad survey courses that interweave themes from many
fields. She starts from a science foundation and then branches into
art, history, philosophy – wherever the topic leads her. Barbara
also began painting and writing poetry in retirement which interact
with her scientific curiosity bringing a new dimension to her teaching
of topics ranging from microbes in the gut to black holes in the
universe.
