This session will explore the rising interest in using NATIVE PLANTS.
Participants will discover why NATIVE PLANTS MATTER AND HOW GARDENERS
CAN INTEGRATE THEM INTO THEIR OWN SPACES. Workshop instructor Kate
Garland, horticulturist from UMaine Extension, will discuss the
concept of ‘NATIVE,’ explore valuable resources for selecting the
right PLANTS FOR A SITE, and lead a virtual walk through a curated
collection of NATIVE SPECIES TO CONSIDER FOR ANY LANDSCAPE. Registered
participants will receive a follow-up email with relevant resources
and a small packet of NATIVE PLANT SEEDS. Kate GarlandEvent reminder
