This course will describe Maine's long-term care system, dispelling myths about it, and giving attendees a stronger understanding of often misunderstood concepts like ""the five- year look back"" and the estate recovery process. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of how estate planning and long term care planning tools can help them to preserve their assets for their loved ones, while protecting their potential need for nursing home and memory care in their later years.
