SAILMAKING, ropework, and the arts of a sailor. A DITTY BAG IS THE
SAILOR’s traditional cylindrical tool bag, which you can adapt for
knitting, toiletries, or whatever your heart desires! Hand-sew your
own canvas bag, using a variety of stitches including the flat seam or
satin stitch, the basting stitch and the round stitch. Learn to splice
three-strand rope, make grommets, and sew eyelets. All materials are
