Join us at BROWN ADVISORY's beautiful waterfront Baltimore
headquarters for a wine TASTING. This event will benefit STOCKS IN THE
FUTURE (SIF), a Baltimore-based nonprofit that teaches financial
literacy skills to middle school students in underserved communities.
Spend a casual summer evening mingling with other Baltimore
professionals in a lovely setting while sampling a selection of
refreshing wines. Our guest host and emcee will be renowned economist,
and SIF friend, ANIRBAN BASU. STOCKS IN THE FUTURE HAS A LONG
ASSOCIATION WITH ANIRBAN BASU, chairman and CEO of Sage, an economic
and policy consulting firm that he founded in 2004. Mr. Basu has been
singled out by both The Daily Record and The Baltimore Business
Journal as one of the most powerful and influential business leaders
in Baltimore. Mr. Basu has a keen in interest in STOCKS IN THE
FUTURE’s unique curriculum, and was eager to join forces with SIF
and BROWN ADVISORY in presenting this event. We invite you to raise a
glass and support SIF’s remarkable three-year financial literacy
curriculum which gives students real-world financial education not
provided in schools. By joining us you will help us empower students
to take control of their financial and academic FUTURES. FAQs What
are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the
event? There are two parking garages convenient to BROWN ADVISORY. The
PMI garage across the street has entrances on Caroline Street and
Thames Street. There is also the Caroline Street Parking Garage
located at 805 S. Caroline Street. Additionally, there is metered
street parking in and around most of the waterfront portion of Fells
Point. UBER, or any ride sharing service, is a popular option and wait
time for a car is typically very short. How can I locate the event
venue from parking? When proceeding to the BROWN ADVISORY office,
cross Thames Street and walk along the promenade towards the Bond
Street Wharf Building. Pass the main lobby, and take a left into the
breezeway. On the right, there are two doors that provide direct
access to the reception space. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to
the event? No, as long as you have purchased your ticket online you do
not need to bring a copy. How can I contact the organizer with any
further questions? Please contact Chiara Peacock at 410-516-6701 or
cpeacock@jhu.edu with any questions. How can I learn more about SIF?
