WINDOWS 10 OPERATING SYSTEM
_This course is for City of Baltimore employees only._
Windows 10 has a number of built-in features to provide a better
end-user experience. These features include multiple desktop views,
applications, and improvements to the Command Prompt. This course will
explore the new features and provide details on configuring them for
use. Microsoft Windows 10 is a radical overhaul of Microsoft's Windows
operating system with improvements and changes to nearly every facet
and feature. This course guides you through different options to sign
in to the operating system, and briefly introduces the new interface -
including the Start menu, the Charm bar, the Task menu, and
notifications. This course is one of a series that covers the features
and capabilities of the new Windows 10 operating system.
Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants
will:
* Sign in and take their first view of Windows 10
* Understand and use hardware, software, and security settings
* Be able to customize Windows 10
* Understand new features added to Windows 10
* Browse with Edge
* Use Cortana, the WINDOWS 10 VIRTUAL ASSISTANT
