Understand the legal and practical considerations of running a
nonprofit. This is an ONLINE VIDEO SERIES. Sign up by May 31, 2020,
and you will have 30 days to access the workshop and view it as many
times as you wish in that timeframe. Course instructor Shana
Roth-Gormley is available to answer your questions by email. The $75
price of the workshop includes a copy of the _How to Start a
Nonprofit Organization in Maryland_ manual mailed to you. Manuals are
mailed out twice a month.WHO SHOULD REGISTER?
• Community leaders who are currently members of – or plan to
START – a small NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION
• Any organization seeking legal assistance through Community Law
Center with an issue related to organizational formation, attendance
at the workshop is required before the organization will be assigned
an attorney through Community Law Center.
WHAT WILL BE COVERED?
• STARTING A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION
• MAINTAINING YOUR ORGANIZATION’s legal status
• Writing and revising articles of incorporation and bylaws;
applying for 501(c)(3) tax exempt status
COST TO ATTEND THE WORKSHOP
The cost for one person to attend the workshop is $75 including a copy
of the _How to Start a Nonprofit Organization in Maryland_ manual.
Each attendee must register and pay the fee.
The more the merrier! If someone from your ORGANIZATION HAS ALREADY
PAID THE FULL PRICE FOR THE SAME WORKSHOP, additional attendees from
the same ORGANIZATION MAY SIGN UP FOR A DISCOUNTED RATE! After the
first person has registered, you will receive a promo code in your
email confirmation which will allow you to to register additional
persons from the organization for $35 each if they want to attend the
workshop without their own copy of the book.
ACCESSING THE WORKSHOP: Registration will include a link and a
password to access the workshop.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
No requests for refunds will be granted for the recorded workshop. If
you, or your designee, do not attend the workshop you signed up for,
the fee is non-refundable.
