The Union Temple Congregation Worship In Arts Ministry Presents: 3rd Annual Essence of Soul: Harlem Nights on Friday, February 10, 2017! The event will take place at the Eubie Blake National Jazz and Cultural Center 847 N. Howard Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. It will begin at 8pm and culminate at 12 am. This is not only a Valentine's Day Celebration for Couples and Singles to enjoy a romantic, chic, entertaining, musical experience, but we will be paying homage to the Harlem Renaissance/roaring 20s, a time when Black Artistic Excellence reached its height in the 20th century. There will be a “costume contest” given to the best male and female contestant that represents the era. This event will feature some of Baltimore's best up and coming artists, great vendors, great food, live entertainment, and at the end of the night a sparkling cider toast to bring to close a perfect evening! Due to the atmosphere of the event no one under the age of 21 will be permitted (no alcohol will be served at this event or allowed in the hall). The attire is cocktail attire, no jeans or athletic wear.
