FreshFarms Markets , sometimes Whole Foods Market has a FREE COOKING
CLASS DEMO & SAMPLES by @Cheff Egg/WFM (who plans & directs, &
prepares foods for the Deli, Store & Hot / Cold Food Bars), and always
incorporates interesting ingredients in the WFM recipes, including
wine & Champagne, in cooking demo s (Whole Foods in MD don t carry
wine or any booze of any kind/State Law), however, Cheff Egg also does
monthly demo s & Classes for all regional WFM s from Annapolis,
Baltimore, to Alexandria, Tennley, Rockville, P St, etc, where, in DC
WFM s do sell lots of beer & wine selections, sometimes DIRT CHEAP,
EVEN ORGANIC SULFITE-FRFEE, GLUTEN FREE, ETC.
Then there are several options, Adega s FREE WINE TASTINGS CLASS to
peruse the wine selections at the nearby bistro -bar with Tapas,
and/or checkout wines between Gar-E Kabab (Indian/Nepalese) with
organic house wine selections even WFM would be proud & carfries, to
Lebanese Taverna in downtown Silver Spring (2block radius, 2 blks fm
Metro up hill/Wayne Ave).
For Foodies, WFM has great deli & food bats, pepared foods section,
and local tapas bistro-wine bar and surrounding ethnic restaurants are
a sure bet to try new flavors: Lebanese Taberna, Thai, Viet Pho, Nando

ballroom dancer from Thailand, who says it s just like home-cooking,
and Burmese, Nepalese/Indian are also nearby.
Adega TAPAS bistro style wine bar & club, is really cool with
Wood-fired oven pizzas for 1 or to share, soups salads sandwiches,
artisan deli styles, are great compliment to their myriad, great
varietal wine selection, even our Former Assistant Organizer Deidre B
would be so proud of: some organic selections, many countries,
obscure, harfd to find, and main stays like Italian Pinot Grigio, Fr
Savignon, Chenin Blanc, Argentinian Malbec, New Zealand, So. African,
California, So.American, German, american Washington ST, etc.,
standards that are more than your usual, with small winery labels with
great prices, VA & MD local wines from our Chesapeake Basin region
(1,000 Oaks/Lakes, etc NY, NC, WV/VA, etc.) And west coast, Columbia
Valley OR/WA staes great wines, etc.
It s very chill, cafe style seating is ample, lots of selections by
the glass, small or large (no alc bevs @outside on balcony/patio
iverlooking family amphitheatre/bands/ market), and a frequent buyer
club card for discounts off purchases / sales between the artisan deli
tapas and the wine store & everything in between. High bar stool
seating near wood fire oven, tables throughout lovely bistro/dining
arfeas, and all are 1st come 1st serve self-seating, so no one bothers
you while u enjoy food &/or drinks!
Any Suggestions are welcomed. I would suggest $25pp+up for group of
5+more to buy a bottle each to share in group, and/or by the glass(es)
- flights are avail at the wine bar where u pick up your glasses for
tastings or bottles purfchased there: they chill & pop them for you on
the spot! Pop pour & drink! If we pool the $ pp, I can help you all
pick out a few great bottles from the store section, or we can all
decide on them as a group, after Sat wine tasting class by the
glass/bottles. It s up to you guys to vote on before meeting up. For
Mondays HHs end 7p~ish, and we have time to head over to the wine
bar/tapas bistro, or crawl from Nepal/Indian to Thai/Burmese, Lebanese
Taverna... etc. More restaurants nearby, but only the ones with wine
food
courses
