MAAFA means: "Great Disaster" or "Terrible Occurrence"

The MAAFA depicts the plight of Africans who encountered the middle passage journey to the Americas. Through song, dance, and monologue, audiences are seemingly transported to this tragic time and experience the suffering of African slaves. The sights and sounds of the overwhelming hardship endured, will consume onlookers - changing them inside, so that healing can begin. Viewers will be informed, transformed and liberated through this breathtaking dramatic presentation.
