Want to add dimension to your embroidery designs? Join mixed media
expert Cowbutt Crunchies Cosplay for a lesson on interesting ways to
combine materials and create texture, without committing to a dense
project! In this workshop we'll walk through the basics of puff foam
embroidery and goldwork threads, followed by ideas for modifying
traditional techniques into mixed masterpieces in order to create a
unique embellishment all your own. In this course, we will discuss the
concept behind combining machine embroidery with Goldwork metal
threads or beads, in order to create unique, dimensional
embellishments. This is an excellent way for ambitious novices and
journeymen to jump into the world of metal threads and beading,
learning the basics on a much smaller-scale project. We'll begin with
learning how to create fast, puffy, three-dimensional embroidery on an
embroidery or sewing machine. Next, attendees will have the
opportunity to get up close and personal with their choice of metal
threads as we learn about the types of goldwork metal threads,
followed by a beading session as they embellish those machined pieces
with additional handwork. Attendees may take home whatever they do not
complete, in order to finish the project at their own leisure. Cowbutt
