Glenstone Sketch Tour

Thomas Baker, of Michael Vergason Landscape Architects, will lead us on a sketch tour through the grounds of Glenstone.  The property encompasses two buildings, several outdoor sculptures and more than 230 acres of rolling meadows, woodlands, and streams, designed by Adam Greenspan and Peter Walker of PWP Landscape Architecture. Guided by the personal vision of its founders, Glenstone assembles post-World War II artworks of the highest quality that trace the greatest historical shifts in the way we experience and understand art of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Schedule:

10:00            Meet at Arrival Hall near the parking lot

10:15-12:30  Sketch Tour - We will walk together from the Arrival Hall up to the pavilions and through the grounds

* The grounds stay open until 5 pm and you are free to explore on your own or grab lunch at one of the cafes on the property

Notes:

• 2.0 CEU pending approval
• Remember to wear comfortable shoes as there will be plenty of walking!
• Sketchbooks will be provided but please bring your own pencils. The museum requests that you only use pencils for sketching to protect the art.
• Please read the rules concerning photography 
• All transactions at Glenstone are cashless with debit and credit cards as the accepted forms of payment.
• Outside food or beverages, coolers and picnicking are not permitted but there are 2 cafes on the property

• If you are interested in carpooling please let us know in the comments if you would like a ride or can offer a ride, how many people you can pick up, and your general vicinity
• The Montgomery County Ride On bus makes several daily stops at Glenstone on its 301 Route
