HydornThe American Red Cross LIFEGUARD TRAINING COURSE PREPARES
PARTICIPANTS FOR CERTIFICATION IN LIFEGUARD, CPR/AED for the
Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Students must be 15 years old by
the last day of the COURSE (proof of age required) and pass a
pre-screen test on the first pool day in order to continue
participation in class. Pre-screen requirements are as follows; •
Complete a continuous swim – tread- swim sequence. Jump into the
water, submerge, resurface and swim 150 yards (using the front crawl,
breaststroke or a combination of both) maintain positions with head
above the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using
only the legs then swim 50 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke
or combination of both. • Timed 10 lbs. brick retrieval in 7 to 10
feet of water with 20-yard swim within one minute forty seconds If a
participant does not pass the pre-screen requirement, they can be
transferred shallow into class if requirements are met. If
unsuccessful, COURSE FEE REFUND WILL BE ISSUED (minus a $15
administrative fee). Interested participants must apply for LIFEGUARD
JOB ONLINE AND SET UP AN INTERVIEW. Applicant who receives conditional
job offer must complete contingent hiring paperwork. Once that has
been completed, interested participant will be INVITED TO REGISTER FOR
