Description The HOWARD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF RECREATION AND PARKS WITH
THE WEST HOWARD WARHAWKS, Inc. will offer competitive youth FOOTBALL
PROGRAMS THIS FALL. Players will be placed on teams based on age,
weight, evaluation, and team requirements. Indicate child's weight and
experience in notes. Evaluations to determine student-athletes
placement will occur during the summer practices, we strongly
encourage you to plan vacations before August. We strongly urge you to
register before June 30th. All participants must have a photo ID from
the MVA or MMYFCL on the first day of practice, this includes Flag
athletes. Practice begins Monday, July 28th, 2025 for all tackle age
group. Practice will be held five nights per week at WESTERN REGIONAL
PARK before HOWARD COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS START, and three nights
thereafter for the duration of the season. Games are held on Friday
nights or Saturday and will require travel. Inclement weather make-up
games may be held on any day of the week. The season will run through
mid-November except for those teams that continue into other post
season championships. See concussion information online at

required by law before you are allowed to register for sports
programs. REFUNDS A $29 administrative fee will be deducted from
refund requests made prior to July 18, 2025. A 50% administrative fee
will be deducted from refund requests made July 17-Aug. 11. No refunds
after Aug. 11, 2025. EQUIPMENT: Each athlete will be issued equipment.
A $250 deposit check will be required at equipment checkout. Each
player must provide: athletic supporter and cup, practice pants,
practice jersey, mouthpiece, socks, and cleats. Volunteers are needed
for coaching, assistant coaching, website assistance, team admin, and
