This free WORKSHOP FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS ADDRESSES INTEGRATED CARE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN WHO HAVE SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS. SUBSTANCE-USING PREGNANT WOMEN AND INTEGRATED CARE WORKSHOPSubstance use during pregnancy is a critical public health concern, and it can lead to severe health consequences for infants. We invite obstetric and pediatric providers, psychiatrists, psychologists, substance use counselors and other health care professionals to this free event. The workshop will examine the prevalence of prenatal substance use, address the needs of integrated care for substance-using pregnant women, and highlight new efforts to improve identification and modification of prenatal substance use. Carlo DiClemente, PhD, ABPP, Emeritus Professor of Psychology, University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) _Dr. Carlo DiClemente is an emeritus professor of psychology at UMBC and the director of several UMBC training centers. He is co-developer of the Transtheoretical Model of behavior change. Dr. DiClemente is the author of numerous scientific publications on motivation and behavioral change with a variety of health and addictive behaviors. He published Addiction and Change: How Addictions Develop and Addicted People Recover (second edition) in 2018 . He has co-authored several professional books: The Transtheoretical Model, Substance Abuse Treatment and the Stages of Change (second edition); Group Treatment for Substance Abuse: A Stages-of-Change Therapy Manual (second edition); and a self-help book, Changing for Good. _ PEER SUPPORT (1:45 P.M.)
