Completed forms, including handwritten signatures for both Applicant
and Authorized Signatory, must be emailed to
SBOinterpreter@massport.com no less than 48 business hours in
advance.A confirmation email will be sent to the Authorized Signatory
(AS) once the approval process is completed. Incomplete forms will be
returned.
The INTERPRETER may only translate the TRAINING information provided
in each module, test question, and multiple-choice answer but may not
select or indicate the correct answer to the applicant.
Indicating the correct answers to test questions will be considered
cheating and will result in failure of the badge applicant, and the
INTERPRETER will be prohibited from providing future assistance to
applicants. Both parties may receive a security violation resulting in
penalties and/or revocation or denial of the badge.
Applicants requiring an interpreter must adhere to the following
procedures:
* Interpreter must be a SIDA badge holder.
* Applicants for a badge must have photo identification with them at
all times.
* First time applicants must clear all security checks before
scheduling the Computer Based Training (CBT).
* The applicant must sit at the computer station during the entire
training session. The interpreter must wear the headset, and verbally
translate each portion of the video training to the applicant.
* The interpreter must translate the questions and multiple choice
answers during the knowledge check, while the applicant must select
the answer.
* Interpretation will only be permitted on the dedicated workstation
located in the Security Badge Office.
Applicant and Interpreter must check in at Position 5 prior to their
scheduled appointment.
