Beginner's Kumihimo Class (Japanese Braiding)

Create a beautiful, braided necklace yourself! Learn the basic concepts of  * How to load your cord on the kumihimo disk * Using spools to prevent tangling * The basic pattern for moving the cords on the disk to create a rope * Information about finishing the ends and attaching a clasp  Kumihimo is great for people on the move, as it can travel with you, in your purse, or backpack, and you can pull it out at anytime and continue where you left off. This is possible because you have prepared everything in advance so you have a neat package, that travels well and doesn't take a lot of space.  No tools are nessasary! Class workshop fee includes Hidden Jewel's custom Kumihimo starter kit, that you can take home with you to continue your newly learned art form! During the class, all tools are provided. Plus, every class participant will receive her/his own copy of Hidden Jewel’s complete, step-by-step instructions—including photos—showing how to make your own Kumihimo jewelry at home.
