The Bureaus of Family Health and Nutrition and Community Health and
Prevention are offering two-day WORKSHOPS ON RACIAL EQUITY HOSTED BY
NASHIRA BARIL, Abigail Ortiz, Bayard Love, and Meenakshi
Verma-Agrawal. The objectives of the WORKSHOPS ARE TO: * Increase
familiarity with racial equity and public health frameworks
*
Provide exposure to and practice with tools that can be applied in
everyday work.
*
Practice making the work meaningful on an individual level by
integrating principles not only into the head, but also into the heart
for sustained racial equity work.
*
Develop a shared understanding of how this workshop aligns with
broader health equity work in the Bureaus and the Department.
THIS WORKSHOP IS ON THURSDAY, JULY 19 AND FRIDAY, JULY 20 FROM
9:00AM-4:30PM. ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THE FULL TWO DAYS.
