Ann is VINYASA YOGA TEACHER WHO HAS BEEN PRACTICING FOR ABOUT TEN
YEARS AND TEACHING FOR FOUR. She has her 200-hour certification from
Open Doors Yoga Studio, RYS. Ann's entry point to yoga was
therapeutic. As a teenager, after a spinal-fusion surgery for her
scoliosis, Ann turned to yoga as a means for healing and a gentle way
to reacquaint herself with her body and it's changing mobility. She
later incorporated different movement practices into her life and
explored high-impact, cardio-based classes. The joy she felt in these
groups lead to her start as an instructor, as she lead cardio
kickboxing classes in college. Eventually, Ann explored heated power
VINYASA YOGA AND FELL IN LOVE WITH THE BALANCE OF INTENSITY AND
MINDFULNESS THAT IT OFFERED. She pursued her teacher training after a
few years of practice. Since then, Ann has had the joy to teach in a
beautiful variety of places. She's taught in corporate, studio, and
private settings. She's taught internationally, working with students
in Northern Thailand, women at Banteay Srei Women's Center in Kampot,
Cambodia, and teenagers the Deaf Development Program in Kampot,
Cambodia.
Today, Ann is currently teaching classes in and around Boston. She
aims to lead classes that offer intelligent intensity, having students
safely explore their edge as they use breathwork and mindfulness as
tools for endurance and presence in their bodies. She encourages
movement that is personalized, strength-building, opening and, most
importantly, joyous. She adores teaching and can't wait to lead
classes here at Cambridge Naturals.
