“Like a snowball full of heart and unabashed beauty with songs of
hope and resistant joy." - Jambase.com From the snow-filled highlands
of upstate New York, The Slambovian Underground (The Slambovian Circus
of Dreams sans rhythm section) bring a show full of holiday songs
guaranteed to 'flip your switch' and turn on the holiday spirit!
Christmas songs “with a Slambovian twist” and sprinkles of
rockin’ original holiday tunes for a slightly ‘outside the box’
holiday show. The perfect mix of Christmas tradition and cool vibes
for all ages and persuasions. Celebrate the holidays and have ‘A
Very Slambovian Christmas’! Founding band members Joziah Longo, Tink
Lloyd and Sharkey McEwen appear as a trio for this holiday show of
traditional/favorite Christmas songs alongside original Slambovian
holiday tunes. This show offers a rare opportunity to take a peek
behind the “Slambovian Curtain,” to experience the inner workings
and essential music-making of the original creative core of the band
in a relaxed setting with artists and friends. Called everything from
‘hillbilly-Pink Floyd’ to ‘folk-pop’ to ‘surreal
americana’, New York’s Slambovian Circus of Dreams “is a
riveting, mesmerizing, crazy, amazing machine of music.” –
Chronogram Magazine. A rootsy psychedelica that MAVERICK MAGAZINE
calls “Mightily impressive and hugely original rock from the cool
end of Americana,” their melodic avant-folk conjures with an exotic
instrumental arsenal and palette of styles ranging from dusty
Americana ballads to huge Pink Floydesque cinematic anthems. The
Slambovians charm from the first note with “Great songs and a whole
lotta heart!” – DJ Meg Griffin, SiriusXM. ——————
