DescriptionJoin us for another year of Hill House Girls Softball! All levels are welcome as players will be split into two separate groups based on age and ability (as enrollment allows). Experienced, enthusiastic coaches will teach the basics of hitting, fielding and positional play while making sure all of our girls are being challenged and having fun.Girls Softball is a primarily coach-pitch program where players can be shown the basic fundamentals and get their first exposure to pitching from instructors. The season will start with rotating skill clinics and work towards different versions of live gameplay as the season progresses. Players will receive jerseys and visors to help build team spirit and enthusiasm for softball!Schedule/Locations: When: Thursdays from 5:15pm-6:15pm Where: Boston Common Softball Fields Season Structure: The season will start with rotating skill clinics and work towards different versions of live gameplay as the season progresses. Players will receive jerseys and visors to help build team spirit and enthusiasm for softball! Important Notes: Families are expected to have a guardian or caretaker remain on-site. If families need to leave then they MUST CHECK-IN with Hill House Staff when dropping off, and SIGN-OUT when picking up. We are unfortunately unable to provide individual make-up classes if the participant is absent. An administrative fee ($20) will be applied for excessive withdrawal requests after the start of the season. By registering for this program, all Hill House families have checked off an acknowledgement upon enrolling and are thus expected to abide by our Code of Conduct—treating our staff, volunteers, and other families with respect. Violations will be reported, and multiple violations may result in action, including removal from programs. Equipment Notes: Gloves are required for Softball Jerseys and hats will be provided. Personal equipment (bats, etc.) are welcome! I have attached an equipment recommendation document. This equipment isn’t required, but I wanted to steer you in the right direction if you were looking for softball gear. All other needed equipment or materials will be provided by Hill House. Cancellation & Make-up Class Policy: Should a session ever be cancelled, you will be notified via email and text. The status of programs will always be confirmed on our Updates Page, and any changed dates for the program can be monitored by checking our Spring Athletics Calendar. If sessions are cancelled due to inclement weather or the instructor being unavailable, we will do our best to reschedule them. Please note: make-up classes will only be offered for cancelled sessions and not for any absences/personal conflicts/voluntarily skipped weeks during the season.
