Description Hill House LITTLE LEAGUE MAJORS WELCOMES PLAYERS OF ALL
EXPERIENCE LEVELS. As a player-pitch LEAGUE, MAJORS EMPHASIZES
DEVELOPING A STRONG APPROACH AT THE PLATE WHILE ALSO PROVIDING
OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN ESSENTIAL DEFENSIVE SKILLS, including pitching,
catching, and playing various positions. The LEAGUE CONSISTS OF FOUR
TEAMS AND FEATURES AN EXCITING NEW PLAYOFF FORMAT, culminating in a
best-of-three series. Participants will practice once per week and
play 1-2 games, depending on weather-related rescheduling. Our
professional staff designs the development curriculum to ensure
players build fundamental skills through engaging, fast-paced, and
active gameplay. Co-ed teams are created and led by Hill House
BASEBALL STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS. The season will consist of a regular
season schedule of games, and finish with a playoff tournament to find
our MAJORS WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS! Like past seasons, we will work
with the North End to schedule fun exhibition games outside our
regular season format. Depending on player age and availability, you
may also be invited to join us participate in the Mayors cup come
July. MAJORS SCHEDULE: Meeting Days/Times - Wednesdays 5-7pm,
Thursdays 6-7pm & Saturdays 9-11am Teams are guaranteed 1-2 games a
week. Location Breakdown: See tentative schedule attached below.
Season Structure: Co-ed teams are created and led by Hill House
BASEBALL STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS. The season will consist of a regular
season schedule of games, and finish with a playoff tournament to find
our MAJORS CHAMPIONS! As long as the weather permits, our last session
will be a fun all-star style celebration where we come together as a
LEAGUE AGAIN AND PLAY OUTSIDE OUR SEASON LONG TEAMS. Equipment Notes:
Gloves are required for MAJORS BASEBALL JERSEYS AND HATS WILL BE
PROVIDED. once distributed, please do your best to wear them to every
game. Personal equipment (bats, etc.) are welcome! I have attached an
equipment recommendation document below. This equipment isn’t
required for this age group, but I wanted to steer you in the right
direction if you were looking for BASEBALL GEAR. All other needed
equipment or materials will be provided by Hill House. Notes on
Awards: Like all Hill House programs this LEAGUE PUTS FUN FIRST, but
it is still competitive. We believe this format helps invest and
excite players, while also teaching them what it means to be part of a
team. As a result this LEAGUE DOES NOT FEATURE PARTICIPATION TROPHIES,
and instead rewards the LEAGUE CHAMPION TEAM AND A FEW INDIVIDUAL
PLAYERS ACROSS THE LEAGUE WITH TROPHIES. We use these trophies to
celebrate achievement, but more importantly to inspire all the players
in the LEAGUE TO KEEP PRACTICING AND WORKING TOWARDS THE FUN GOALS
THEIR PEERS HAVE REACHED. We highlight players with great work ethic,
sportsmanship, and commitment to improve, because we want to motivate
all our players to model those traits and become the best they can be.
