Starting on January 2nd Lindsay Kendrick will be doing community art
classes for children ages 2-12. Each week Lindsay will be arriving
in the Park with art supplies and a project for children to do that
will keep their natural love of art alive. All supplies will be
provided and classes are free, though donations for supplies would be
appreciated, if possible. All youngsters must be accompanied by an
adult guardian. Lindsay graduated from the University of
Massachusetts, Amherst in 2012 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio
Arts. She later found herself working for Big Brothers Big Sisters
in the Baltimore City, Maryland area, executing mentoring programs
between corporate partners and community schools. Lindsay was able
to bring her creative side to her job with Big Brothers Big Sisters as
she provided activities to foster positive youth development at each
program. Lindsay is a mother who is passionate about art and
positive creative expression for youth. She believes all children
should be given the tools to use their imaginations and be who they
want through art and creativity.
