KREWE ORLEANS IS A LIVE BIG BAND MARDI GRAS EXPERIENCE. The mission of this band is to help keep the tradition of New ORLEANS MUSIC ALIVE! Founded by Neighbor, RJNC and Pink Talking Fish keys master Richard James, Krewe Orleans brings an authentic Mardi Gras experience that will have you dancing and partying all night long! Krewe Orleans is an all-star lineup featuring, Tony Markellis, bassist and record producer from Helena, Montana, now residing in Saratoga Springs, New York. In his forty-seven year career he has played blues, folk, jazz, rock, country and bluegrass with musicians such as Trey Anastasio, Paul Butterfield, The Mamas & the Papas, Johnny Shines, David Bromberg, David and Floodwood. Also in the Fold, drummer Brian Sayers of the famed Sayers Brothers, State Radio, Moonboot Lover and Otis Grove. Guitarist Johnny Trama brings his well defined southern tone and style to the fold, fronting many New England legacy acts The Silks, Dub Apocalypse and B3 Kings. Vocalist Michael Butler of Bearly Dead, bring his soulful and refined voice to the expansive NOLA funk catalog. Rounding out the lineup will be the brass section of Matt Wayne (bobby Ditch), Lee Ross (Horntz/PPPP), Mark Coranado (Booty Vortex) and Rob Khran (Viva La Hop).
