DESCRIPTION: MEDITATION & SOUND BATH WITH TARA ATWOOD
Roll out that yoga mat, and settle in for some mediation + sound work,
a 2,500-year-old wellness practice. Ancient Tibetan Singing Bowls and
healing Crystal Alchemy bowls will surround the room to create varying
notes and vibrations.
Sound waves are said to calm the nervous system and balance the
‘subtle body,’ energy that vibrates throughout the innermost
layers of the body. In addition to balancing the subtle body, this
holistic practice of sound bathing has also been known to work wonders
for stress relief, insomnia, anxiety, chronic pain, and even
depression.
Sound healing therapy uses aspects of sound and music to improve
physical and emotional health and well-being. Rich audible tones and
invisible frequencies are used and our bodies resonate with those
frequencies, which can have deep effects on our breath, our blood
flow, our cellular movement, our biorhythms, our thoughts, and our
brain waves.
The vibrations of the bowls are amazingly efficient to help vital
energy flow freely. Expect to feel a deep sense of relaxation, relief
from physical and/or emotional pain, a sensation of lightness as the
body lets go of past emotional and physical issues.
