Does your organization have a technology need? Does your website look
like it was made in the '90s? Are you frustrated by using Excel to
track donations or volunteers? Do you need something better? WHAT IS
GIVECAMP? Ann Arbor GiveCamp is a weekend-long event where local
technology experts, business professionals, and charity personnel come
together to ease the burden of area non-profits through technology.
Non-profits have serious technology needs that they often cannot
afford on their limited budgets; needs such as a new website,
efficient email, a donation tracking application, and more. Through
Ann Arbor Give Camp, the local community can come together, partnering
charities with area technology experts, software programmers,
marketing and brand identity analysts, graphics designers, and more,
all in an effort to help out a good cause.
Are you interested in volunteering for AAGC 2020? Awesome! Sign up as

HELPING CHARITIES IN NEED
Technology experts, business professionals, and other industry experts
from throughout Southeast Michigan come together once a year for Ann
Arbor GiveCamp, and we invite you to be a part of it. At Ann Arbor
GiveCamp, our volunteers partner with you and your organization to
help solve your technology needs, improve your business strategies,
your brand awareness, so that you can focus on what you do best:
helping others. Have members of your organization join our software
developers, graphics designers, marketing experts, and more, to meet
your needs and gain thousands of dollars in services. By partnering
with Ann Arbor GiveCamp, we can all work together to complete your
project and meet your needs.
There is just one rule: the project must be completed in the weekend.
To get started, submit your project to be part of GiveCamp. Tell us
about your need and what you would like to build, together, with Ann
Arbor GiveCamp. We are available to work with your charity
representative to define the scope of your project to ensure that it
can be completed in a weekend. If your project is selected for
GiveCamp, your charity representatives and assigned volunteers will
work closely together throughout the weekend and turn your dream--your
vision--into a reality.
Plenty of food and drink is provided. We'll bring the technical
know-how. You bring your dream, your knowledge of your organization,
and your unbridled passion for your cause. Come and volunteer your
weekend with us as we combine your talents with the business, design,
and technical expertise of other volunteers to make your
organization's dreams come true.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
In the weeks leading up to GiveCamp Weekend, the event organizers work
with area non-profits to identify software projects that can be
completed in a single weekend while local volunteers sign up to
participate in the event to complete the identified projects. At
GiveCamp Weekend, charity representatives will join together with
matched technology and business volunteers to complete the project.
Charity representatives give input, learn the new systems as they are
created, and overall participate in the completion of this new project
while the volunteers work diligently to complete the more technical
aspects of the project. Sponsors make the weekend happen, helping Ann
Arbor GiveCamp provide all of the necessary food, drink, and facility
to fuel the endeavor. And all of these pieces come together over 48
hours in September to bring new technology to those who most need it.
