Please mark your calendar and RSVP here. As always, the event is
entirely FREE and both breakfast and lunch are included.CALLING ALL
POLYGLOTS, adventurers, and all lovers of code: please come join us,
for in December we will have a "PLIBMTTBHGATY" party.
See http://plibmttbhgaty.com/ for the format and why anyone would want
to do such a crazy fun thing. For any of the 30 languages of
Cyber-Dojo.org (includes Elixir, Erlang, F#, Go, Groovy and Haskell
for example), you DO NOT NEED to download or install *anything* to
enjoy exploring it with a pair or even a whole mob. OTOH, if you WANT
to play with one of these, or Elm, then bring your favorite stack
along. Googling is always allowed, even encouraged; it's an adventure.
We will have breakfast together starting by 8:30 and get to know one
another. Around 9 I'll get us started by facilitating the choices of
languages people are most interested in poking around in. Like an
"Open Space" unconference, you are encouraged (required?) to vote with
your feet and find where you get or give the most value.
What's going on here is learning, exploration, and practice. One of
the best values is learning from one another, and programming with
people you would otherwise never have the opportunity to work with.
We're all here to discover different ways of thinking, different
habits, and different approaches, throughout the course of one day. We
do it every month, so we've gotten pretty good at it.
The primary focus of a deep dive in new learning. December qualifies
as a deep dive.
