Detroit Podcast Festival: Kickoff Mixer

Kick off the weekend with some spirited mingling, remarks from FESTIVAL CO-producers, Erin Allen and Joy Mohammed, plus live stories by acclaimed storytellers Glynn Washington [https://www.facebook.com/SnapGlynn/] and Satori Shakoor [https://www.satorishakoor.com/]! This is a free event.Doors open at 5:30pm, kick-off begins at 6pm.  Satori Shakoor, founder and executive producer of The Secret Society of Twisted Storytellers [https://www.twistedtellers.org/], is a veteran of live performance and a social entrepreneur. She has received international recognition and acclaim as a singer and recording artist with “Parliament/Funkadelic” and as one of “The Brides of Funkenstein.” Ms. Shakoor is an actor, standup comedienne, produced playwright, television comedy writer, television producer/writer and published writer. Glynn Washington is the host, creator and executive producer of Snap Judgment [https://snapjudgment.org/], the weekly PODCAST program that Glynn created after winning the Public Radio Talent Quest sponsored by Public Radio Exchange (PRX) and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). Snap Judgement first aired on NPR stations nationwide in July 2010. By May 2018, the program was aired on over 400 public radio stations and downloaded over two million times each month.
