Drop-In Workshop: Rhythmic Ribbon Batons

Every weekend, the DIA offers FREE drop-in art-making projects for visitors of all ages. This weekend, stop by the DIA and create a RIBBON BATON, used in floor exercises for gymnastic and dance. You'll make a simple version using paper, RIBBON AND DECORATIVE TAPES.The Drop-In WORKSHOP WILL BE ON THE DIA NORTH LAWN ON FRIDAY FROM 5 - 9 p.m., in conjunction with the Detroit City Dance Festival [https://www.dia.org/events/detroit-dance-city-festival-2019]. From noon-5 p.m., the workshop will be held in the museum's art-making studio. General admission to the DIA is always free for residents of Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties!
