Beginning at 11 a.m., Bailey Sisoy-Moore of The DETROIT History Club
and DETROIT History Tours will be giving an informational lecture
about women's suffrage in DETROIT. This lecture will take place at the
FORD PIQUETTE AVENUE PLANT, 461 Piquette Ave. Following the lecture,
we will have tea at the historic Whitney restaurant. Valet parking at
The Whitney will be offered free of charge. During the tea, you will
have the option to purchase raffle tickets to win a prize basket
filled with local Detroit goodies.
Ticket prices are $60 for Ford Piquette Plant members, $65 for

Clara Ford was a passionate suffragette, holding the position of Vice
Chair for the Dearborn Branch of the Equal Suffrage League of Wayne
County in 1918 as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the
Michigan League of Women Voters starting in 1921.
